#SWFC’s U18s have finished the regular season on a high with a 3-1 win over Brentford at Hillsborough today… Will Grainger, Aodhan Sopala and an own goal gave them the victory. Onto the play-offs now, and on a 13-game unbeaten run.

Josh Windass scores his 53rd goal for #SWFC, making him the club’s highest-scoring player this century - going clear of Marcus Tudgay. He’s also now level with 1970s favourite, Brian Joicey.

Disappointing for #SWFC to concede just before half time, but we’ve seen this film before… Another good performance, but caught out at the back. Great ball and finish to be fair, though. 1-1.

Wednesday playing some lovely stuff today. Annoying to be 1-1 at half time based on how they’ve played so far. #SWFC

That assist from Callum Paterson was his 46th direct goal contribution for #SWFC in what could prove to be his final game for the club. Considering the amount of positions he’s played, and how often he’s had to make do with substitute appearances, it’s a very solid return. 🦉⚽️

That Barry Bannan reaction to coming off certainly didn’t look like a man who’s just played his last game for a club that he’s spent a decade at. #SWFC

A 1-1 draw probably fair in the end. Both teams had chances to go on and win it, neither of them took them. So much uncertainty surrounds #SWFC at the moment, but there has been progress this season and that shouldn’t be overlooked. That can come later.

Definitely the end of the road at #SWFC for players like Shea Charles and James Beadle, possibly the end for many others… There have been some huge performances, huge moments, from so many of them. An overhaul is coming, again, but these lads have given so much to this club.

After today only 30 players in the history of Sheffield Wednesday have scored more goals for the club than Josh Windass… Not a bad deal for £500k. #SWFC

“All in all, I’m proud…” - Danny Röhl’s immediate reaction after Sheffield Wednesday’s final game of the season. #SWFC 🦉⚽️

🚨Given the increasingly clear nature of his intentions this summer, asked Danny Röhl whether resignation from Sheffield Wednesday was a possibility. He gave a curious answer - and made a fair point on Dejphon Chansiri. All he said👇 thestar.co.uk//sport/footbal… #SWFC🦉

What Danny Röhl did with #SWFC last season was truly remarkable, and he deserves huge credit for the progress seen by Wednesday this season as well. But in order for the club to move forward there was to be an early resolution on his future. One way or another.

A weird season for me to cover in so many ways, and in many regards not at all what I was expecting from it - on the pitch and personally… But it’s another year covering my club complete, somehow. An absolute privilege. Thanks for following along. Up the midtable Owls. #SWFC
