With support from @IMSouthernAfric , young people and women from three Group Village Heads - Fosa, Kachere, and Mkomawathu 2 were trained in mini-drip irrigation, maintenance, and plot layout. These skills are particularly valuable in the face of changing climate conditions.

YICOD, with core support from IM Swedish Development Partner, has distributed farming resources, including vegetable seeds, to women and youths in the Dedza district. This initiative aims to promote nutrition and enhance livelihoods amidst changing climate conditions.

YICOD is happy to see the progress made by the rights-holders in the Dedza district. After receiving vegetable seeds, they successfully established kitchen gardens and group gardens using mini-drip irrigation, cultivating Amaranthus, Mustard, Tomato & Rape to enhance livelihoods.

On Wednesday in Lilongwe, YICOD, alongside PYAO and All for Youth, held a meeting with stakeholders, including youth-led organisations and the Ministry of Youth, to discuss the SRHR budget, youth participation, and advocacy strategies, supported by the Commonwealth Foundation.
