Today's #arXivsummary: arxiv.org/abs/1910.09142, by Chen & Miles Stoudenmire. Algorithm proposed for finite-T tensor networks which combines ancilla method & minimally entangled typical thermal state. Applied to S=1 Heisenberg ladder; converges faster @ finite-T & higher entanglement.

Great to see so many interesting tensor network libraries being created recently. I have been adding all the ones I know of to tensornetwork.org. See the list here tensornetwork.org/software/ and please send me a pull request for any you would like to add.

ITensor now optionally multi-threads over blocks of block-sparse (QN conserving) tensors using OpenMP, showing excellent speedups. Great work by CCQ data scientists Matt Fishman and Nils Wentzell. Added in this pull request: github.com/ITensor/ITenso…

I promised to explain what physicists or quantitative scientists could do to help in the #Covid_19 pandemic. After a week of 18 hour days, some time to explain. Bottom line: in a country where there is limited testing, you can only see COVID-19 with #mathematics. Please RT.
