🚧TRAFFIC ALERT🚧 Earlier today, we experienced a water main break in the area of Riverdale Avenue and Vark Street. Throughout the day, YPD has been assisting with traffic while DPW and our partners work on fixing this situation and restoring water…

The roadway in the area of 79 Riverdale Avenue was potentially compromised due to the break. Riverdale Avenue, in both directions, between Prospect Street and Vark Street will be closed to vehicular traffic until further notice. At this time there is no risk to nearby structures

Those in the area who are without water are receiving assistance from YPD, Office of Emergency Management, and YFD in the form of water bottles as well as obtaining safe drinking water from a water tanker that was brought to the area to assist.
