Nuclear testing does not observe national boundaries; its impact is global. At the opening of the CTBTO and CTBTO Youth Group (CYG) 2024 Global Art Campaign at #UNHQ, I was moved by the artworks that present a vision of peace and security and of a world free of nuclear weapons.

For me, this was the highlight of the special session of #UNGA to commemorate #IDANT. I felt so proud to hear the wonderful words of one of our CTBTO Youth Group (CYG) members, coming from the lips of the sagely orator Amb Mohan Pieris. Sri Lanka at UN, NY. So proud - well done George Platt!

On Sept 16, CYG&CENESS hosted a webinar "Introduction Into Writing Research Papers," with Hanna Notte&Adlan Margoev. Their tips on research paper writing were invaluable! Participants also heard insights from Amb. Sergey Batsanov on the role of research in disarmament diplomacy.
