Natural disasters have been hit china hard for the first half of 2024, resulting in 322 deaths and missing persons and direct economic losses of CNY 93b (USD 13b). In the same period in 2023, the number of dead and missing was 95, and direct losses were CNY 38.23b (USD 5.26b).
