アメリカで初めて小さな手術を経験。当日に病院に行き、待ち時間ほぼなしで全身麻酔を受け術後1-2時間ほどで帰宅。日本にいたら前日入院、翌日退院になると考えると、アメリカの日帰り手術は本当に素晴らしいと思いました。

これは間違いですね。実際僕はprelim PGY1からcategorical PGY1にマッチしましたし、文章からみるにprelim PGY2からcategorical PGY1にはマッチできないと言っているんだと思います

僕は東医体で負けてボーとしてたらマッチング出し忘れて、たまたま定員割れが出ていたところで研修しました。それがなければ心臓外科医にもアメリカにもきていなかっただろうと思うと、人生は自分の選択とは違うところで大きく決められているような気もします。
