On Thursday 1/8/2025, at around 3:45 pm, the Yuma Fire Department answered a mutual aid request from California authorities regarding a “single resource deployment” to the “Pacific Palisades Fire” burning in Los Angeles County.

Congratulations to FF/ Medic Eric Mendivil on your 10 years of service. Eric is recent graduate of the Hazardous Technician course and is currently assigned to Yuma Medic 4 on C crew. Eric is also a member of the wildland strike team and has deployed to multiple fires.

The Yuma Fire Department hosted testing for a Captain’s recruitment. The process began today with a written test. Good luck to all the candidates!
