“A step in the process towards peace and security.” 💬Minister Yuriko Backes participates in the first Defence Ministers’ meeting of the Coalition of the Willing, for a sustainable and lasting peace in Ukraine, built on strength and resilience.

During an informal 🇪🇺 EPSCO meeting organised by the 🇵🇱 Presidency, a group of countries led by 🇧🇪 🇳🇱 & 🇱🇺 expressed concerns about a new law in Hungary. Polish presidency of the Council of the EU Luxembourg in the EU 🇱🇺🇪🇺 Belgium in the EU Netherlands at the EU GouvernementLU

In a joint statement they pointed out that the law « undermines #LGBTIQ+ rights and restricts the right to peaceful assembly and freedom of expression. »

The statement further affirms that «Respecting and protecting the human rights and fundamental freedoms of all people, including 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️⚧️ people, is inherent in being part of the 🇪🇺 family. It is our responsibility and shared by the member states and the European institutions.»

The aim of this innovative project, managed by Luxembourg Red Cross, is to improve the experience of victims, both adult and underage, of violence through a multidisciplinary team that offers help and comprehensive care in one place, in cooperation with other operational partners

This care is based on four pillars: 🔹psychosocial support, 🔹medical assistance, 🔹police intervention and filing of complaints, 🔹legal information.
