This is awesome news! Seeed Studio's XIAO and XIAO BLE are now formally supported by ZMK Mechanical Keyboard Firmware, the #opensource keyboard firmware that is powered by Zephyr Project! Learn more: hubs.la/Q017VJXR0 #ZMK #ZephyrRTOS

At 10PM ET I'll be streaming some ZMK Mechanical Keyboard Firmware hacking at twitch.tv/petejohanson. Send me your PR/feature/bug requests and I'll try to add to my list for the night.

#ZephyrRTOS community! It's finally here... Pete Johanson (he/him) @[email protected]'s #ZMK State of the Firmware #5 is now live on the Zephyr Project website! Read about all of the major changes: hubs.la/Q018WhzZ0 ZMK Mechanical Keyboard Firmware #opensource #embedded #RTOS #blog

Many thanks to Nordic Semiconductor for sponsoring some hardware to support the ZMK Mechanical Keyboard Firmware project! The dev kits will pair perfectly with the ZMK Uno shield that Pete Johanson (he/him) @[email protected] has been designing.

*Super* cute Raspberry Pi RP2040 controller by 01Space with a tiny 72x20 OLED on it. Just got it running ZMK Mechanical Keyboard Firmware with the experimental Zephyr Project RP2040 support. Will be going on the next round of revxlp prototypes.

Given the uncertainty of this platform, I (Pete Johanson (he/him) @[email protected]) have created @[email protected] as another place to publish news about ZMK, boost others' posts about it, etc. Will still keep this account active as well!

"With the ZMK Mechanical Keyboard Firmware that runs on #ZephyrRTOS, people using our Pro Micro-based PCBs can install a supported #Bluetooth controller into their keyboard to make it wireless." - Danny Nguyen, Owner of Keebio. hubs.la/Q01vgRlR0 Zephyr Project #opensource #RTOS #embedded

Major update to Zephyr Project 3.2 is in! See zmk.dev/blog/2023/04/0… for all the details. One big feature is initial support for Raspberry Pi RP2040 (pi pico) MCU with quite a few controller board definitions ready to use.

Took me just about 3h to get ZMK Mechanical Keyboard Firmware working on the new HW. Still need to finish the keymap, but having backlight, USB, and BLE work out of the box is really sweet ⌨️

The upgrade to Zephyr Project 3.5 has been completed and merged to `main`. Read more at zmk.dev/blog/2024/02/0…
