Summer Reading. I have been looking for this book, which provides a critical historiographic overview of the scripture that shaped Islam, by Mohammad Ali Amir-Moezzi and Guillaume Dye. Finally my dad managed to order it for me!

My best acquisition this summer is a hardcover of “Kitab al-Istiqsa li-Akhbar duwal al-Maghrib al-Aqsa” by Ahmad ibn Khalid an-Nasiri, published in 1894. It was the first comprehensive national history of Morocco from the Muslim conquest to the reign of Moulay Abdelaziz.
