Our analysis of 906,404 tweets regarding ME/CFS identified frustration with labelling the condition as psychosocial and a desire for identification of physical causation and biomedical treatments.

I'm Dr. Annie Andrews. I’m a pediatrician, not a politician. But either way I know how to handle people who are full of sh*t. Today I am announcing my campaign for US Senate to replace Lindsey Graham. RT if you're with me.

T Jamie Daniel Missailidis, PhD We don't know exactly what causes PEM, but it is consistent with nervous system dysfunction. The 5% figure is natural course, but recovery rates are much higher with treatment. The rituximab trial had a 38% long term remission rate due to the placebo effect alone .

This is a ridiculous statement & I have no doubt she is mistaken. B12 deficiency can lead to various neurologic symptoms but they aren’t going to look like FND symptoms & they can be differentiated w/ a neuro exam and imaging. Evidence-based information: nice.org.uk/guidance/ng239…

Zachary Grin, PT, DPT Hmm. I would love if my #FND could just take B12 and be cured. Like every patient I see with neuro symptoms has had B12 already tested. I cannot think of a single FND that presented with B12 deficiency signs and symptoms.

Any clinician who has worked with people with ME/CFS and MS will tell you that they are not similar at all! The only similarity is fatigue…along with every other health condition. ME/CFS has no objective signs on exam. Relapse-remitting course doesn’t fluctuate day by day 😤😩

MAID for functional disorders is just heartbreaking. The woman in the article had FND. She was given many diagnoses & pill after pill. These are treatable conditions with the right supports & treatments. Why invest in making proper treatments accessible when you can let them die?

No. Multiple RCTs show additional antibiotics don’t work for chronic Lyme disease & they have serious side effects including death. Chronic Lyme disease does not exist. It is a known pseudo-diagnosis & most people diagnosed with it have been misdiagnosed. sciencedirect.com/science/articl…
