We studied four FAD oxidoreductases commonly found within bacterial gene clusters for 2-aminoethylphosphonate(AEP) degradation. These enzymes not only degrade N-monomethyl-AEP (😯!!), but some act also on AEP, creating a novel AEP catabolic pathway 🦠🔬 ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/P…
