For Black History Month, I want to highlight Black bookshops including New Beacon Books, the UK’s 1st Black bookshop. Back in 2021, owners said they’d be closing their doors due to financial constraints but people raised over £70k to keep them open. Check them out all year round

This is Cape Coast Castle in Ghana. It was taken by the British in the 1600's and was used for slavery until 1870 even though slavery was abolished by the British in 1807. For over three hundred years it was used to make profit... Take a look at the brickwork @robertjen

I think I have worked with 1000+ young people in my life time and it never ceases to amaze me when I randomly bump into them a few years later and they are all grown up and are thriving. Feel like a proud auntie to have even shared a tiny part of their story with them.

2024 showed me how to step back. Stepping back might be seen as a backwards step, but actually it's just preparation for a leap forward.

Regardless of where you stand politically Charlie Kirk absolutely did not deserve to be murdered. That was a disgusting act of violence and we are not going to progress beyond where we are. Murder is sick. We need to start having dialogue with those who we disagree with.

Will probably delete, but to my fellow Christians: if a white supremacist killed due to 'political violence' moves you *more* than the thousands of Palestinians murdered for the same reason, you need to unpack that. Go to the secret place of the Most High and figure that out.
