I learned some cool stuff at the AUA other than craps 🎲. Here are some things I found interesting #AUA25 🎰 1. Vesical mucosa grafts instead of buccal for ureteroplasty. Italian group with success in all 14 patients. With some muscle backing behind it seems ideal.

🚨NEW STONE ALERT🚨 Urolithin A is a novel stone type detected at Litholink that may not be detected depending on your lab. Labs should add to IR spectral libraries. Consumption of blueberry/walnuts can lead to high levels, but also sold as a supplement. Endourological Society

Dr Brian Eisner with a great lecture on biomarkers of infection in urolithiasis. qSOFA > SIRS for risk of sepsis. Procalcitonin/albumin ratio and platelet/neutrophil to lymphocyte ratios were predictive of risk/sepsis Take home: More data needed #WCET2025

It’s challenging to learn HoLEP from videos alone! This was a fun project to better understand the spatial perception of learners who watched endoscopic recordings of HoLEP. Turns out that it’s quite easy to get lost during videos regardless of experience level.
