Such a fun staff meeting this afternoon! It was great hearing from CIRP alumni Dr. Caitlin A. Northcutt (Pope), Ellen Yard, and Bhavna Singichetti about their school & career paths and current research.

Dr. Zhu said the study he worked on shows there is a need for more comprehensive data collection on this relatively new technology. “This has become a serious issue. We’ve seen a tremendous increase in e-scooter injuries since early 2018.” Motao Matt Zhu

Our own Motao Matt Zhu provided expert testimony on Ohio's updated law to reduce #DistractedDriving. As of today, it's illegal to use or hold a cell phone or electronic device in your hand or lap while driving on Ohio roads. If an officer sees a violation, they can pull you over.

You can help researchers understand driving behaviors in teens by using a smartphone app. Complete the survey at redcap.link/ekcyvg04. Contact Motao Zhu at (614) 355-6687 or [email protected] with questions.
