What an amazing place to run Society for Leukocyte Biology annual meeting at the Big Island of Hawaii at Hilton Waikoloa Village! Also, truly honored that the society selected me as one of Excellence in Leukocyte Biology finalists to present our work on Cxcl12/Cxcr4. I hope to meet many of you here!

Truly honored to be part of this generous gift from Dr. Evelyn Gruss Lipper, and also be a member of this marvelous program and Einstein team that studies cancer metastasis, and translates high impact discoveries into clinical practice! einsteinmed.edu/features/8932/…

Extremely happy that our review article has just been published in Seminars in Cancer Biology. We continue to explore unconventional and interesting mechanistic links between thymus biology and cancer risk. sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

Had a wonderful departmental retreat yesterday with Einstein Montefiore Pathology! Listened to the great science, Nicole Barth rocked the mic with an invited presentation, and had lunch with a fantastic Bronx/NYC view! Fantastic day!

Excited to share our review article in Cytokines and Growth Factor Reviews, about emerging roles of CXCL12 in cancer metastasis. Kudos to members of the Karagiannis lab and fantastic collaborators, Camille Duran & Panagiota Filippou that made this happen! sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

How do you calm yourself down when you nurture your research idea, believe strongly in it, support it with rigorous literature, identify clinical collaborators to give perspective to it, and a reviewer rejects your application simply saying: "I don't see clinical relevance"?

Happy to upload our first Preprint from our lab (and hopefully one of many in the future) regarding morphometric assessment of the murine thymus using digital pathology tools and advanced imaging! Soon to engage in the long-process of publishing this! biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

What a funny way to start the Henry Kunkel annual meeting dedicated this year on thymus biology! It seems that the thymus is a kind of neglected organ by both scientists and non-scientists alike! youtube.com/watch?v=DOZAbs…

Last time I practiced archery was 10 years ago as a graduate student. It was about time for a strong come-back! Not bad although not in such good shape. Let's hope our academic goals will also bring about a similar result!

Really excited to upload our preprint on novel roles of CXCL12/CXCR4 in breast cancer metastasis and immunosuppression. I would want so desperately to say "this is the end", but probably it's better to say: "this is the beginning", as we will soon embark on the quest to publish.
