In all our work to get pts their operations, it’s easy to forget the personal impact on them and their families: eg the nervousness and the planning (for work, kids, pets etc). This week two people I know have had cancer-related surgery: a useful reminder! #TeamCAS Russell Hart 💙

Attended provably the saddest meeting for 23years tonight. Urgent Senior Leaders mtg convened by the CEO to discuss how we can support frightened staff: people who travel out of hours, who work in the community etc etc. “Great” Britain should be so much better than this.
