Nothing quite like making a statement on day one. This has been bubbling away for that long it felt inevitable #MUFC would try and get it done as quickly as possible. Matheus Cunha scored an impressive 17 goals for Wolves this season, including 15 in the Premier League.

People often question why the official Championship Team of the Season is announced prior to the season finishing. However, as per tradition, we’ve waited until the regular campaign and the play-offs are done before naming our teams. New episode will be dropping shortly!🎙️

Team of the Season time! Myself and Elliott Jackson revealed our respective 2024/25 Championship Teams of the Season on this morning's podcast. Come and tell us what we got wrong! I'm sure there will be one or two picks you don't agree with! 😉

Manchester United already know what's next on their to-do list after sealing the signing of Matheus Cunha from Wolves. #MUFC manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football…

Just the fact Matheus Cunha has a proven record in the Premier League is a step in the right direction as far as Manchester United’s recruitment is concerned. United had not signed a proven Premier League attacker since 2017/18. #MUFC manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football…

This would be an excellent signing if #MUFC could pull it off. He is just the sort of player they need. I’ve been a big fan of Bryan Mbeumo ever since he arrived at Brentford back in 2019. He has improved year-on-year and is now fully established in the Premier League.

This statement had to come at some point. The events of the last few days have been deeply concerning and worrying. I feel desperately sorry for all the staff at #SWFC. The current situation is simply unacceptable. The staff and supporters deserve so much better.

#MUFC need a striker and few are as attractive as Victor Osimhen. Napoli want a quick sale, making him attainable. But with Matheus Cunha already through the door and Bryan Mbeumo being looked at, United need to flex their muscles in the seller's market. manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football…

What does Sheffield Wednesday’s immediate future look like? What does Sheffield Wednesday’s long-term future look like? Those questions are unanswerable right now. These are dark and desperately worrying times for every Wednesdayite. The situation is so bleak. #SWFC

If you haven't listened to this week's podcast, here is my 2024/25 Championship Team of the Season. As ever, I felt guilty for leaving a leaving a handful of players out. I had six who made it onto my list of honourable mentions. You can never please everyone with a TOTS! 😅

With Bryan Mbeumo firmly on Manchester United's radar, Ruben Amorim could have some very healthy competition in the battle for the two No.10 positions come the start of next season. #MUFC manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football…

The Manchester Youth Super League's Champions Cup finals took place last month and for Partington & Carrington's Under-8s Wanderers' side it turned out to be a night they will never forget, courtesy of a touch of class from Ruben Amorim. Feature: #MUFC manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football…

Inter Milan have confirmed their interest in Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund. #MUFC manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football…

With Matheus Cunha signed and Bryan Mbeumo potentially not too far behind him, #MUFC soon need to start flexing their muscles in the seller's market. *If* everything goes according to plan on that front, they should find themselves in a good position. manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football…

Just finished watching #ClarksonsFarm4. Excellent once again and thoroughly entertaining and insightful as always. It’s fair to say opening a pub on such a scale is no easy task! Jeremy’s pep talk to his pub staff in episode seven was probably my highlight of the series! 🤣

Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund has played down Inter Milan's interest in his signature, admitting he "expects" to stay at Old Trafford. This will be one to watch throughout the summer, I reckon. #MUFC manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football…

Unless anything moves at 100mph, Manchester United look unlikely to get any further business done before the first section of the summer transfer window closes at 7pm on Tuesday evening. #MUFC manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football…

Manchester United have hit the ground running at the start of this summer's transfer window, signing Matheus Cunha and going after Bryan Mbeumo. However, when it comes to their search for a midfielder, the challenge might not be so easy. #MUFC manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football…

I sat down with Elliott Jackson earlier on to record the final The Championship Chat Podcast episode of the season. We took the opportunity to reflect on our 1-24 predictions, discuss the latest managerial changes and the ongoing crisis at #SWFC. Make sure you check it out! 🎙️👇

Ruben Amorim, last December, hinted Amad's long-term position could be at right wing-back, which potentially paves the way for Bryan Mbeumo to slot in at right-sided No.10. Add in the fact Mbeumo is left-footed as well, it's a win-win for everyone. #MUFC manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football…
