According to my wife I said: “Bury me by the tree where nature was born” in my sleep last night. So I guess my subconscious is trying to be a poet now. #bars #PoetAndDidntEvenKnowIt

One of the many tough parts about struggling with trying to have a child is when the Christmas cards start coming in from your friends announcing their second child.

Morning idea: has anyone considered feeding a description of an API endpoint along with sample inputs/outputs to a LLM and see if it can recreate the functionality? I’m testing some weird functionality and it would be helpful to know how it works on the backend.

OK my $1000 bounty on this is starting to pay off. vincent has been working it at Waterloo and connected w a Russian hacker who has tons of not-published-in-English info. There's a kill-switch in FaceID modules which we thought was antitampering, but it's actually laser safety!

In the spirit of “get ye to the wise man” Ive never done any investing outside of 401k and my goal this year is to finally do more. I don’t intend on doing active investing so im more looking for advice on where to put the money. Fidelity auto-deposit and forget? Something else?

I think I need to add a mute keyword for those bounty payout posts. They end up depressing me with a bad case of fomo. I don’t ever get a feeling of “that could be me” I get whatever the opposite of that is.

It’s literally not possible for the American colonists to defeat Britain. George Washington is a warmonger. How many more Americans have to die in this pointless war? It’s time for peace.

This is honestly terrifying. So easy for this to become a common usecase then we just have to trust the model is unbiased and not fine-tuned on a viewpoint. At least with traditional search it has to link to the content and no one provider can monopolize refusing to index it.

A thing Apple Watches do that I find funny is if you don’t tell it you’re working out it thinks your higher heart rate is from stress and sends a “mindfulness” alert. Then, if you keep it up, it goes “maybe it’s a workout” and sends a “do you want to record this workout” alert.

Oh wow, a popular GitHub Action (tj-actions/changed-files) was fully compromised. Someone committed a base64-encoded payload that runs a script that in turn prints out encoded secrets… Stay safe out there!

Man it’s tough seeing a thing your working on already exist. Seems the hardest part is finding a “new idea under the sun”.

The is diabolical... a Python object that hallucinates method implementations on demand any time you call them, using my LLM Python library github.com/awwaiid/gremllm
