The AACPO executive is meeting to start planning the 2025 conference being held in Lake Louise Feb 3 - 7. If you have ideas on courses you'd like, events, sponsors, tradeshow vendors, anything that would be a great addition to any part of the conference please tell your zone rep.

Welcome to the 21st annual Rail Safety Week! This week, and all year long, we’re sharing rail safety knowledge and encouraging all in our communities to be safe around tracks & trains. Keep an eye on our feed for important rail safety information. #RSW2024 #STOPTrackTragedies

Trespassing on railway property is dangerous and illegal. Trains run 24/7 – any time could be train time. Watch our video with Constable Charbonneau, like & share to keep everyone safe! #STOPTrackTragedies #RSW2024

It’s Rail Safety Week and Cornelius the beaver wants to remind everyone that tracks are only for trains. Stay a safe distance away from train tracks because trains can come at any time. See tracks? Think trains! #STOPTrackTragedies #RSW2024

Cornelius the beaver knows the drill: always look for the crossbuck sign before crossing the tracks. Stop, look both ways and listen for approaching trains first. No sign? Don’t cross! Stay safe around tracks and trains. #STOPTrackTragedies #RSW2024

ABmunis member-municipalities adopted a resolution in 2023 to advocate for Alberta Government to give Community Peace Officers (CPOs) suffering PTSD the same WCB-Alberta coverage as other police officers. Why? Because 50% of public safety officers have some form of mental health
