Thank you IRSPM and @TampereUni for a fantastic week. I’ve learned so much about the exciting things my #publicadmin colleagues are doing and about #Finland. On our way to catch the ferry to #Sweden now - continuing the adventure!

I’d heard of these train carriages in Finland and thought they were too good to be true but here we are! So glad we found one. The little one is loving it. I’m just a bit sad I’m too big for the slide 😔

I really enjoyed reading Gwyn Bevan’s new book, How Did Britain Come to This. Although the picture it paints was rightfully quite depressing, it clearly sets out the problems with our current political, economic and administrative settlement. It’s clear we need decisive change.

#ClimateandEnvironmentalBreakdown is a key issue. Yet, in a UK #election it seems to be almost entirely missing. Do you want to know what parties will do? It is terrible that we have to ask Please RT if you think it should be on BBC Question Time George Monbiot Chris Packham

Brilliant take on the Labour's school teeth-brushing idea from fellow College of Social Sciences researcher Kathryn Spicksley. Using teachers as catch-all policy delivery agents (from policing to public health) intensifies workload and exacerbates the teacher shortage. blog.bham.ac.uk/socialsciences…
