Tom Johnson, one of the winningest coaches in Oregon history, just won his first state title. In classic TJ fashion, what does he do? He lets his team leader Jalen Atkins, whose dad Tom coached at Barlow as well, cut down the net instead of him.

Adding to the long list of accolades he’s earned during his high school career, you can now also call Jalen Atkins a Champion. 16 points and 8 rebounds tonight and his handle was crucial when Jesuit started to really press. Big free throws down the stretch secured the title.
