Since the launch of U.S. President's Malaria Initiative (PMI) in Cameroon 🇨🇲 in 2017, the malaria mortality rate has declined by 15%, according to the WHO. The recent disruptions to PMI programming have suspended malaria prevention campaigns in Cameroon and could reverse years of progress against this disease.

Malaria affects us all. Over half the world’s population live in endemic areas, and in the age of globalization, no one is safe until it’s gone. It increases susceptibility to other infections & overwhelms healthcare systems, inhibiting surveillance/prevention for other diseases.
