After working with an audio producer and public history student NYU APH this past semester, I'm delighted to share that Episode 1 of the two-part companion podcast to our exhibition Trace/s at Center for Brooklyn History went live this morning- take a listen on Apple Podcasts or Spotify!

"ChatGPT users had the lowest brain engagement and 'consistently underperformed at neural, linguistic, and behavioral levels.' Over the course of several months, ChatGPT users got lazier with each subsequent essay, often resorting to copy-and-paste by the end of the study."

Many of the world's most famous economists say that Zohran Mamdani's economic policies are cost responsible and form a coherent agenda that rejects austerity and embraces the city’s power to make life more affordable for New Yorkers. thenation.com/article/econom…

Zohran's father wrote arguably the best book on settler colonialism, Neither Settler Nor Native, which argues that's just where modern nation-states come from (not, like the Americanists claim, that it is some "original sin" afflicting the US and which we are locked into).

Put whatever views you may have about Mamdani’s politics aside for a moment: When was the last time you saw a candidate campaign like this?

Turned in my absentee ballot and ranked Zohran Kwame Mamdani #1. GO VOTE! Do not rank Cuomo!! Do not let current polling stop you from casting your vote. Also please continue to curse out Cuomo campaigners. The amount of calls and texts I've received borders on harassment.

The New York establishment is running scared. Despite spending millions against him, Zohran was ahead in the last poll. If New Yorkers come out in good numbers today, Zohran Kwame Mamdani can become New York City’s next mayor. Let’s make it happen. Please vote.

More than 1.5 million doors knocked. 42,000 volunteers recruited. $8 million raised from grassroots donors. @zohrankmamdani's win is the result of an unprecedented movement built by him and his supporters. jacobin.com/2025/06/zohran…

I learned that Cuomo conceded while watching Hozier preach about the civil rights movement and call for an end to genocide in the middle of his concert (which was FANTASTIC!). Is this...hope???!?!?

Slapping fannies and killing grannies is a wild thing to say. True, but absolutely insane lol. I have been laughing at this for hours.
