Weekends here at last … Phantom Brewing Co kicking off proceedings with a belting hazy pale. Hoppy, juicy, dry. Splendid!

Oops … I appear to have started on next weeks Y Not Festival ⚡ stash… Never mind it’s tasting better out of the fridge than a (rapidly warming) cool bag. Azvex Brewing Co. bang on the money as ever with a textbook hazy DIPA.

And without further ado football is back. First league outing Hucknall Town Football Club a forgettable affair losing 1.0 to an injury time goal against the run of play. Decent amount of endeavour but definitely rusty. Half chances missed, crosses straight out etc etc. Hope for better Tues!

Exactly what I love in a TIPA. Slightly green, dry, hugely hopped & thick as you like. The 10% strength hidden away a treat. Absolute belter from #Verdant yet again. This number sourced Brew Tavern (Cavern)

Back at it … Monday morning workshift accompaniment… Working my way through a monumental selection of This Feeling bangers on ‘Big In 2022’ … Anything that kicks off with the brilliant Holy Youth Movement is spot on in my book.

Tuesday morning workshift accompaniment… Getting in the mood for Friday night Y Not Festival ⚡ with some early (I know they’ll not play these) The Prodigy bangers! Tickets purchased on the back of these playing …. Never disappoint. ‘No Good (Start The Dance)’ as the sun sets 🤩

Can’t fault getting home from an away game in 15 minutes…. Season up & running for Hucknall Town Football Club with a comfortable 4.1 win at Belper United. Great goals, strong defence, good amount of away support. Saturdays last grasp defeat a distant memory … onwards & upwards.

Broken up for a few days (Y Not Festival ⚡ Eve) rude not to crack a chilled DIPA. Quality work from Azvex Brewing Co. once again, thick, hoppy, citrusy … Splendid stuff.

Just back from being off grid at Y Not Festival ⚡ so here’s some bits & bobs. Really enjoyed SUNBEAM Once again This Feeling putting on a cracking line up in The Allotment. Hope the rest of the stag went well … and ‘Is This The Life’ a superb cover.

Cheers Y Not Festival ⚡ what a fantastic 4 days that was. Great line up & absolutely no complaints from me about the logistics. Campsite great, security low key but omnipresent. Flushing loos in the arena, good variety of food, local beer … 100k steps racked up & even weather held!

Absolute carnage … The Prodigy Y Not Festival ⚡ 🔥 Outstanding!

Just what you don’t want at the 80k step stage on Sunday afternoon at Y Not Festival ⚡ … Ridiculously danceable grooves from the wonderful Home Counties fabulous half hour set easing us towards the end of the weekend. Looking forward to The Bodega in November!

Late Peak District afternoon sunshine at Y Not Festival ⚡ the perfect setting for Red Rum Club as excellent as ever, loved the Dick Dale ‘Misirlou’ cover. The set was over way too quickly.

A band who never disappoint! Franz Ferdinand with the Sunday evening Y Not Festival ⚡ slot, guaranteed to get weary legs moving again. Alex a charming & highly engaging frontman, the band tight as. The set a great blend of old & new. Superb!
