Delighted to see our paper published Immunity . We have identified a key role for small blood vessels in mediating interferon-α driven brain disease in children. A joint collaboration between Edinburgh UK Dementia Research Institute, Markus Hofer's team University of Sydney, and many excellent colleagues.

Delighted to share our latest research using multiscale topology to classify cells in subcellular spatial kidney transcriptomic data nature in collaboration with Heather Harrington Katherine Benjamin Oxford Mathematics nature.com/articles/s4158…

It was fantastic visiting Drs Koen B Pouwels and Alex Clarke at University of Oxford! Our past Emerging Leaders Prize winners are exploring the causes of lupus and monitoring COVID-19 & future pandemics. Their groundbreaking research is shaping better treatments and public health. 🔬👏

We’ve worked out how the molecular machines that create acidic compartments can recruit autophagy (self-eating) machinery when they can’t maintain a pH gradient. We are really pleased with this discovery, out in Molecular Cell cell.com/molecular-cell…. 1/16

It was great fun organising the Kennedy Institute of Rheumatology student symposium this year #KISS2024 We loved having Luke O'Neill join us this year. Such a fun and inspirational speaker who even joined us at the pub! 🍺

Julia Johnstone and I, together with Alex Clarke, reviewed the recent literature on B cell metabolism. Make sure to check it out: sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

Researchers have identified #asparagine metabolism as a key regulator of #GerminalCenter B cell function in mice. University of Oxford Alex Clarke Yavuz Yazicioglu Read more in Science #Immunology: scim.ag/4gxYTlN

Thrilled to share our latest work on how the non-essential amino acid #asparagine metabolically regulates germinal centers. Huge thanks to my PhD supervisor Alex Clarke, colleagues, and collaborators at the Kennedy Institute of Rheumatology University of Oxford, and The Crick who made this possible!

A new Science #Immunology study suggests that #asparagine metabolism is necessary for normal germinal center #Bcell development and immune responses in mice. Kennedy Institute of Rheumatology scim.ag/4gxYTlN
