First paper from my PhD - We have released a preprint of our study: VITAL-COMS, a novel digital simulation tool designed to improve healthcare professionals' communication skills when discussing weight with patients Leona Ryan,PhD Anne Moorhead 1/4

Our pilot feasibility study with UK-based nurses, doctors & dietitians = significant improvements: ➡️ Participants demonstrated improved self-assessed communication skills following training. ➡️Average conversation length with simulated patients increased significantly 2/4

➡️ Most participants supported wider use of VITAL-COMS in healthcare settings. ➡️ This tool offers a safe space for repeatable and reflective practice, addressing a critical need for compassionate non-stigmatising weight-related conversations in healthcare settings. 3/4
