Another win for the democratization of thrombectomy. MR CLEAN late results just presented at World Stroke Org meeting showed benefit of EVT within 6-24 hrs when patients are selected based on presence of collaterals on CTA, rendering CTP, MRI & perfusion software non-essential.

Check out the most recent work from the Ohio State Neurosurgery Residency spine oncology group! Preoperative spine embolization may be beneficial for more than just mitigating intraop blood loss. We observed an improvement in local control after embolization followed by decompression and SBRT.
