This tweet is a mirror image of the counsel Shaykh Ādam ʿAbd Allāh al-Ilūrī (d. 1992) gave Chief M.K.O Abiola in 1986 during the heat of the debate on sharīʿa courts in Southern Nigeria and work-free Fridays. Shaykh al-Ilūrī's counsel remains as relevant today as it was in 1986.
