I recognize that I’m a newcomer. I know so many of you waited much longer than me for this, through worse times. But damn I’m not ready for Red October to be over. I’m not ready to wrap up the story of these Phils. I’m not ready for the long wait until we’re back at the Bank.

I can’t decide if it’s more surprising that the Phillies can’t get a base hit to save their lives, or that this team somehow managed to have the best record in baseball for the majority of the season.

The inability of the Phillies organization, and the coaching staff, to ride the ship since the all-star break shouldn’t get any less attention than the Eagles collapse last year. Waiting for October and hoping it will solve everything isn’t a solution.
