Check out the latest from our lab Biophysical Society #bps2022 on Tues. Adeel Ahmed and @JoshiIndranil will present posters L2929-Pos and 2052-Pos describing their 3D collagen microengineering work.
If you are at #bps2022 tomorrow, stop by and check the poster from Gaborski NanoBio materials lab by Zahra Allahyari (1:45pm) with a cool combo of computational modeling & cell-substrate interaction Biophysical Society Kate Gleason College of Engineering RIT more 🐅s on Tuesday!
We’re excited to start this collagen microengineering project to study how migrating cells interpret and respond to discontinuities in the ECM. Thank you @NIGMS Tech Dev R21 program #biomaterials #microfluidics #cellmigration Kate Gleason College of Engineering
More lab news! We just received U.S. National Science Foundation funding to study the signaling hierarchy between two collagen related properties that independently predict patient metastasis. Kate Gleason College of Engineering RIT BME PHT180 nsf.gov/awardsearch/sh…

We've developed a new biofabrication technique to create fiber alignment gradients in 3D collagen hydrogels. This could lead to new insights into directed cell migration. Kate Gleason College of Engineering #biomaterials #cellmigration #microfluidics biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
Our new study in Advanced Functional Materials is out! We built tumor-like collagen matrices with spatial gradients in fiber alignment. Directional cell migration showed enhancement over uniformly aligned gels! onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/ad… Kate Gleason College of Engineering #CancerResearch
