Welcome to public markets Ather Energy and congratulations on the listing to the founders. We need more of Athers, true new age engineering companies. Disc: Not an investment view, just appreciate the business and story.

Today many would again get attracted to Yes Bank after news of Japanese Bank acquiring it. Please note that when its ROE is just 5% (lower than even its cost of funds), the business is destroying value and thus keeps raising and diluting. And you're paying 23.5x PE for it.

What a scary chart for investors! This is Microsoft from 2000 to 2010 after the Dot com bust. While EPS was growing well from 1 to 2.5, the scary part was P/E derating from 60x+ PE to ~10 PE.

The India- UK FTA final closure is a positive for labour intensive sectors such as textiles (apparel wear) amidst others. I am happy that we got the timing of this slide on imminent FTAs well on point.

Tata group companies have a significant share of revenue mix from the UK. Possible reason why Tata Motors is up ~4% after the India-UK FTA finalisation (Europe is an Auto hub). Note: Tata Steel will get a push from India-US bilateral trade deal once closed.

Interesting day on Twitter. Can see ones who put India first even when they are in opposition. And can see many terror sympathisers in the garb of media and newspaper.

Amar Govindarajan The idea was originally shared to me by a textile businessman cum investor himself. Small cues help. Example - mgmt talking of creating ESOPs for the first time - a sign of professionalisation. And it's a 35 year old company. Also there's Operating Leverage potential.

Diabetes cases would be cut by half if Indians parents cut down on chai (that too extra sweet) and having multiple biscuits with chai everyday.

If a US account is racist mocking India in this war, there is at least 60% chance that they're not very intelligent - Likely not working at a Tech co - most CEOs are Indian origin. Or they may be anonymous, showing they don't have balls.
