The story of our faith isn’t about us. It’s about what God has done — and continues to do — in the lives of those who trust Him. That’s the story I want to tell. In this week’s column, I reflect on how we can share with both conviction and humility: stlouisreview.com/story/serve-th…

The many deaths and injuries in the Middle East, including those at Holy Family Parish in Gaza, illustrate the dire need for ceasefire. With Pope Leo XIV and Archbishop Broglio, I join in urging resolution to this conflict.

It was with great joy that I attended Sunday's evening prayers and reception for Archbishop-elect Mark Rivituso, who has been such a blessing to me during my five years here in St. Louis. I will miss him when he leaves but could not be happier for him or for the people of Mobile.

I am grateful to Pope Leo XIV for his appointment of Bishop-elect O’Donnell and for Bishop-elect O’Donnell’s generous response to our Holy Father’s appointment. Along with my brother bishops, I welcome Bishop-elect O’Donnell to Jefferson City and the state of Missouri.

Pope Leo XIV has called for a day of prayer & fasting (8/22) in solidarity with those suffering in Ukraine and Gaza. Let us join together for our brothers and sisters who are suffering the horrors of war. May Christ, Prince of Peace, bring hope & lasting peace.

It is with great sorrow that we mourn an unthinkable shooting that has extinguished at least two young lives and inflicted great emotional harm on the Annunciation Church community in Minneapolis.

We all stumble and fall. But with God’s grace, we can rise, begin again, and go forward. I reflected on this call to begin again and center our days around Jesus in this week’s St. Louis Review Serve the Lord with Gladness column: stlouisreview.com/story/serve-th…

As people of faith and good will, we must speak against hateful and antisemitic acts, and recognize that such acts of violence must have no place in our hearts and communities.
