Undergrad @PhilNosler won an award for his oral presentation ABRCMS!!! Congrats Phil! So honored to have you in Libuda Lab! University of Oregon UO Biology #meiosis4eva

While todayās terrible display of terror and meanness shakes us, letās remember: Jon Ossoff, Jewish son of an immigrant & Reverend Raphael Warnock, first Black Senator from Georgia, will join a Catholic POTUS & the first woman, Black + Indian VP in our nationās capital. God bless America.

The latest Libuda Lab paper is online in Current Biology! We develop and use an assay to temporally monitor repair of single DSB w/ the sister chromatid or same DNA molecule, and assess its conversion tracks during specific stages of meiosis in C. elegans. sciencedirect.com/science/articlā¦

Our latest paper is out and featured in the latest issue of #GENETICS! Together 6 lab members developed quantitative image analysis algorithm & pipelines for C. elegans germlines. Genetics Society of America Erik Toraason Nicole Kurhanewicz Acadia DiNardo Cori Cahoon Adam Saunders academic.oup.com/genetics/articā¦

Our latest manuscript is live! Postdoc Cori Cahoon developed and used the auxin degron system to conditionally immobilize #celegans for live imaging. Works efficiently in both hermaphrodite and male worms! Cori also found males need higher auxin levels. biorxiv.org/content/10.110ā¦

Our latest paper by grad student Erik Toraason is out in STAR Protocols. It describes how to use our intersister/intrachromatid repair assay to induce a single DSB during meiosis and assess how the DSB was repaired (including conversion tracts) in C. elegans. star-protocols.cell.com/protocols/984

Latest paper by postdoc Cori Cahoon is out! Using the auxin degron system, she developed a method to reversibly immobilize male & hermaphrodite C. elegans as both adults & larva for live imaging. Movie is a germline in a living worm. #celegans #G3Journal academic.oup.com/g3journal/advaā¦

Latest preprint from the lab by postdoc Cori Cahoon ! Her beautiful work identifies sex-specific differences in the composition of meiotic chromosome structure and how it regulates recombination in developing sperm and eggs. š§¬š¬ biorxiv.org/content/10.110ā¦

And we have another PhD candidate in the lab! Congrats Jordan Brown on advancing to candidacy! š¾š ā¦Libuda Labā© #meiosis4eva
