Check out our new preprint! We show genetic loci assoc. w/adaptation to rust pops, and rethink reciprocal transplants for studying parasite local adaptation. Local adaptation of both plant and pathogen: an arms-race compromise in switchgass rust biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

happy to share a new paper co-led w/ Dr. Elizabeth Carlen where we find that generally, census tracts w/ less income, less white people, and were previously redlined have less eBird/iNaturalist data than you would expect based on area or population density! ecologyandsociety.org/vol29/iss3/art…

An exciting paper - we use a new(ish) strategy, the Host Reciprocal Transplant, to assess pathogen local adaptation in switchgrass rust. We found that both host and parasite are locally adapted, an outcome that occurs when pathogen damage is less deleterious than other stress
