Fatima Abdurrahman of #CENSAD presented on humanitarian responses for children in conflict situations in the CEN-SAD region. She emphasized the urgent need for stronger coordination among actors to boost impact, share resources, and promote best practices. #AfricaFit4Children

Dr. Emnet Berhanu from the #IGAD Sec gives an overview of the child policy. The region has adopted a number of initiatives such as the IGAD Child Policy Framework and the EAC/IGAD Roadmap on Strengthening National #ChildProtection and Systems Cross-border Collaboration (2019).

Wilfried Onguene, Facilitator of the development process for the “Operational Protocol for the Implementation of Children’s Participation” at MAEJT, shared insights on creating structured, meaningful, & safe spaces for children to actively engage in decisions that affecting them.
