Fantastic session at the SLICC world Lupus Seminar. Privileged to hear about all the brilliant work going on in SLE research in subsaharan Africa. # SLE does exist in Africa. Collaboration is needed to enhance research, training & education # Ian N Bruce THEE Ashira Blazer MD Dzifa Dey

To finish the #ACR23 Review Course, one of my favourites: the erudite Leonard Calabrese on the complicated web between viral infections and autoimmunity. Complex interactions both ways. Isn't the immune system amazing? (& ref the Cleveland Clinic MD service led by Cassandra Calabrese) Dr. John Cush

Thank you lizzymacphie 🙏🏾 A mammoth task, nonetheless an amazing opportunity to contribute towards reducing the global health inequities in SLE

Fantastic presentation from Mia Rodziewicz using BILAG-BR data: ⭐️NPSLE had higher damage / disease activity ⭐️ NPSLE more likely to have APS ab ⭐️ RTX appears effective in NPSLE (no trials)

#EULAR2024 OP0149 When the Doctor says YES but the patients say NO. Data from UK BILAG-BR in moderate to severe #lupus showed ~half patients who met clinical response did not improve their psychological wellbeing. Factors of discordant: ancestry, damage, SLEDAI-2K Dr. John Cush

Lovely time catching up with colleagues and networking in Vienna at #EULAR2024 Dr. Angela Migowa- PhD, Paed Rheum.,MMed, MBChB

Great session Lupus 2025 on the future of drug trial design. Future clinical trials should prioritise improving global patient inclusiveness by actively addressing the underrepresentation of diverse populations, particularly those from LMICs and marginalised communities
