Hello! I'm a teacher candidate from UBC just finishing an important part of my journey! I graduate VERY soon, and I'm excited to delve into the world of professional education!

It's such a weird feeling to finally start putting out job applications. I've sent out three applications so far and I'm excited to send out a few more later today and tomorrow! It's been a long journey getting myself to this point, but it's all coming together!

I'm really excited! My certification for teaching is pending and I'm preparing for interviews. I'm so close to reaching my dream job!

Finally got my certification to teach in British Columbia! It's been a long journey, but this is such an important part of it I have a hard time really recognizing what I've achieved! Still waiting to hear back about applications, but it's been going well so far!

Today we read the book That's Not My Name - each student got to say their name to their classmates to ensure we are all saying them correctly. Respecting our uniqueness. We then recognized which Capital our name should go under - spelling out their name to us. #Kindergarten

I've been so busy I haven't actually had the time to even THINK to tweet about it, but for the last month I've gotten a classroom to call my own! I'm teaching 5/6 at Blundell Elementary! It's an amazing staff to work with and a great group of kids! Noisy, but definitely fun!

Finished the vast majority of my first-ever set of report cards. I feel so proud of myself for this achievement and thankful to those around me who supported me. I also feel like sleeping for two weeks straight.
