New paper led by @AlexanderZheut1 Josh Jacobs Adam Bress👇 TL/DR: We show primary prevention statin use is much lower among adults <65 years despite similar ASCVD risk as older adults. We're waiting too long to get people onto statins. #medtwitter pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/37599197/

Should we rethink our approach to treating inpatient asymptomatic hypertension? The terms "hypertensive urgency" and "hypertensive crisis" might be outdated, potentially leading to inappropriate treatment. This new AHA Scientific Statement suggests it's time for a change.
