We're hiring! The Princeton Materials Institute Princeton Materials Institute has open-rank faculty positions, deadline Nov 15. Apply here: princeton.edu/acad-positions… Princeton Engineering

It was a pleasure to host Prof. Ramamoorthy Ramesh Ramamoorthy Ramesh for the Princeton Materials Institute seminar today! We were treated to an inspiring talk filled with beautiful science and fun anecdotes— on everything from Sunshot to BiFeO3.

It was lots of fun teaching my first course last term on phase transformations, and it's an honor to receive this commendation. Thanks for the shoutout Princeton Materials Institute!

My group is excited and grateful to be awarded its first grant from the ACS PRF Doctoral New Investigator program! This will fully support a student for 2 years to look at energy-transport dynamics at solid-liquid interfaces - a new direction for us Princeton Materials Institute Princeton Engineering

If you're at #APSMarchMeeting next week, check out this cool symposium on transport that I'm organizing with Mandar Deshmukh Tata Institute of Fundamental Research. Electrons, phonons, excitons, polaritons -- we'll have it all! + I'll be there and look forward to catching up. American Physical Society @APSMeetings

It was wonderful hosting Beth Dickey CMU Materials Science & Engineering for the materials seminar today. We were treated to stunning visuals of atoms moving inside #ferroelectric #materials!

Great hosting Samuel Graham for the MAE department seminar today! He gave a beautiful talk on fundamental materials issues and thermal challenges in wide bandgap electronics. Princeton Engineering Maryland Engineering

The Perspective by Archana Raja & colleagues overviews the parameters influencing interlayer hybridization in moiré materials, providing a comprehensive guide for designing materials with desired properties: rdcu.be/dNlIt Aditya Sood Elyse Barré Medha Dandu

Great hosting Deep Jariwala at Princeton Materials Institute today. Deep gave an inspiring talk on materials for next-gen computing.

Pleasure hosting Prof. Brad Siwick McGill University for the Princeton Materials Institute seminar today! He gave a beautiful talk on visualizing atomic motions using ultrafast electron diffraction. Here - at dinner with Prof. Alice Kunin from Princeton Chemistry, learning from Brad about brewing 🍺

We are delighted to be part of a new Microelectronics Science Research Center project led by PPPL and funded U.S. Department of Energy. Over the next 4 years, my group will explore the extremes limits of phonon & heat transport in diamond using tools that we are building in my lab Princeton Materials Institute

Not a bad view to wrap up #ACSSpring2025 in lovely San Diego. I talked about some new results on probing interfacial energy transport with atomic resolution. Thanks for the invitation, Sascha Feldmann Nienhaus Lab CongreveLab!

Princeton Engineering Our final faculty speaker of the day is PMI's Aditya Sood of Princeton Engineering MAE, on ultrafast sensing of electrical switching and heat dissipation at the nanoscale #PMISymposium
