Last Sunday, we Leeds African Communities Trust had the pleasure of attending the Civic Thanksgiving Service marking the start of their Mayoral year of the Lord Mayor of #Leeds, Cllr Abigail Marshall Katung. It was great to see so many people,including religious leaders, community representatives, etc.


Absolutely brilliant to pop over to Seacroft for Leeds African Cup of Nations this afternoon with Nkele Manaka and Lord Mayor of Leeds 2025-26 Abigail Marshall Katung! A real community event. Massive thanks to Nigeria Community Leeds for welcoming us along. With Councillor Asghar khan we are proud to support LACON!


The Lord Mayor of Leeds Abigail Marshall Katung attended the Leeds 2024 Africa Cup of Nations,a competition, organised by the #NCL🇳🇬 & supported by local councillors,Councillor Luke Farley Councillor Asghar khan Nkele Manaka, which brings our communities together. Congrats to Guinea-Bissau 🇬🇼, the winners🏆

HFS attended Hyde Park Picture House Saturday for ‘Pièces d'identités’ a highly engaging, thoughtful & humorous Congolese film from 1998 on the themes of identity & belonging. This special event was organised by the Congolese Community of Leeds Congolese Community Of Leeds - CCL all this & free cake too, Bravo!
