To be clear: Not all SQLite tests are proprietary. The separate and extremely comprehensive TH3 test suite is closed-source and requires a license. Fun fact: no-one has every bought the TCH SQLite license, according to Hipp in a podcast a few yrs ago sqlite.org/testing.html

If you ask applications developers if SQL columns should have strict types, of course they'll say yes! Tho flexible types are super useful in many data analysis projects, especially w/ messy data (Excel, untyped CSVs, etc) But what should be default? Probably strict tbh
