Image segmentation just got a little more cool: @MetaAI released the cure-all Segment-Anything, so let's feed it some @mesoSPIM #lightsheet #Microscopy images - it starts to pick out big brain regions - but failed on small structures - lots to learn! ai.facebook.com/blog/segment-a…

Recently I defended my PhD thesis. It was an emotional day full of gratitude for all of those who inspired me and motivated me to keep going. The feeling of accomplishment has not kicked in yet but I am becoming more aware of my inner strength and personal growth.

Subplate is the earliest site of cortical synapses and because of its vital role in development it is important to localise it correctly. Gavin Clowry (2024) doi.org/10.1002/cne.25… challenges the annotations in brainspan.org and urges the use of additional markers.

For the first time, the #QuattrocoloLab is present at SfN #SfN24 . As usual, you will find our stories on #CajalRetzius cells, but we also have a new project on hippocampal growth cones. For those attending the Molecular & Cellular Cognition Society meeting, you will find us there too - Kavli Neuroscience
