Am told that The Ottawa Hospital ER is facing unprecedented challenge and overcrowding and that ER patients are being transferred out if possible and any new transfers in (including direct to service) need to be formally approved by their senior medical consultant personally.

I heard on CBC about the upcoming expansion of prescribing for ON pharmacists (great comments Lisa Dolovich) Will pharmacists be billing OHIP or the pt for this? Right now pharmacy charges me $35 for a prescription renewal. Shouldn't this be part of our universal health system?
