I’m excited to share that I will be starting my PhD studies LboroSSEHS in January 2023 to further my research journey into Anti-doping and sports drug monitoring. I can’t wait to join @HeaneyLM and the team!

Looking forward to Alisha Henderson joining our lab in Jan! To my knowledge, Alisha will be the FIRST EVER PhD student LboroSSEHS with a project focussed entirely on laboratory-based anti-doping. Wouldn’t it be good if we had somebody like UK Anti-Doping on our campus… 😉

Really excited to be on campus Loughborough University and to start my PhD at the LboroSSEHS! Looking forward to learning and taking on new challenges on this research journey ☺️

🚨It’s official, we’re live! 🚨 The Mass Sportrometry Lab LboroSSEHS is here. We’re interested in anything mass spectrometry-based related to sport, exercise, and health (and other things too!). Our aim is to accelerate the use of MS in sports research! Please RT and follow!

👩🔬TEAM MEMBER BIO 📝 It’s been a little while since we have showcased the talent in our group. This time around we have the newest member of our squad Alisha Henderson. Alisha’s PhD project is looking at novel applications of ambient ionisation mass sportrometry for anti-doping.

I’ve had a great day at #BSS2023 in Liverpool Analytical Science Network (ASN), and looking forward to presenting some ASAP-MS quantitation next week over in Manchester British Mass Spectrometry Society (where I’m sure our lab logo will continue to be a popular discussion !!) 😊

Today marked the end of my first conference British Mass Spectrometry Society for #BMSS43! A great experience meeting different scientists within mass spec, and presenting some work on ASAP-MS quantitation. Thank you to all involved!

Great fun yesterday in Birmingham with British Mass Spectrometry Society! I enjoyed presenting some data from our recent collaboration with Deutsche Sporthochschule Köln. Thank you to all speakers for an interesting day full of ambient ionisation #AISIG

New paper from Mass Sportrometrist Alisha Henderson with myself and the super @stephrankin2. This review covers Alisha's PhD topic focussing on the use of ambient ionisation techniques for drug and toxin analyses. Open access in Drug Testing and Analysis shorturl.at/adl26

Excited to share our new publication reviewing the recent literature of ambient ionisation mass spectrometry for drug and toxin analysis. Many thanks to @stephrankin2 and Liam Heaney! …iencejournals.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.10…

Great to be involved in showcasing the anti-doping research carried out in the Mass Sportrometry Lab… more to come!

Great to be at #BMSSBSPR2024 this week, and to discuss how ASAP-MS can be used to identify contaminated sports supplements. Thank you British Mass Spectrometry Society! #MassSportrometry

New publication on work by Marilyn Ong during her fellowship visit to the #MassSportrometry lab LboroSSEHS. Still lots more work to come out from this trip! We didn’t see differences with exercise in this supplementation study… but be nice to also look with a mixed meal test!

Congratulations to Mass Sportrometrist Alisha Henderson on winning the best ECR contribution at the British Mass Spectrometry Society ambient ionisation special interest group meeting. Compulsory winners photo and, now world famous, live action shot below.

I had a great time at the British Mass Spectrometry Society Ambient Ionisation SIG meeting yesterday in Nottingham! I enjoyed listening to all talks, and was really happy to receive the Peter Ryan Award for the best ECR presentation! Thank you BMSS for a great meeting 😊 #MassSportrometry

Excited to share our latest review article on the latest advancements in ambient ionisation mass spectrometry. Many thanks to Stephanie Rankin-Turner and Liam Heaney! …mistry-europe.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/an…
