👋🏻 Paging Helen McEntee TD Teachers have very real concerns about the effects of AI. I am already seeing it’s use by students in the classroom to write their work for them - I am not alone in that. And while AI has its place - that place is not with assessments!! #edchatie

I'm already avoiding giving Ss written homework as I know some of them will resort to AI for a shortcut. And that's a low stakes homework task. What do we think will happen when it's 40% of their final assessment that determines their college places? #lcreform #edchatie

In Stormont this morning to meet Northern Ireland’s political parties for talks on legacy. I want to listen to political leaders, victims’ families, and survivors, as we work to secure a better way forward.

Minister James Lawless has launched a new Pharmacy programme (MPharm) at Ollscoil na Gaillimhe | University of Galway, providing up to 75 new student places per year. It is the first such programme in the west of Ireland. Applications are now open through the CAO, with 45 places available in Sept 2025.

I hope that Minister Helen McEntee TD finally responds to our correspondence and agrees to a meeting with the ISTA. Subject associations should be an integral part of Senior Cycle reform; they sit on the Subject Development Groups, have a wealth of subject specific knowledge,

I welcome the conversation that President Trump has had with President von der Leyen. It's absolutely important that we can get a realistic and reasonable deal between Europe and the United States to help citizens across the world.

📚 Pause Senior Cycle Reform 📚 The Minister for Education must meet with ISTA who have requested the meeting. This reform will seriously affect science teachers and students. Rushed and inadequately resourced reform is destined to fail. Simple as that.

Many thanks to Eoghan Kenny TD for his continued support. We still await a response from Helen McEntee TD on our request for an urgent meeting. Our most recent correspondence hasn’t been acknowledged yet.
