SCRATCH-HTN is a pilot randomised, double-blind, sham-controlled trial evaluating a novel non-invasive device delivering low-level electrical stimulation to the vagal sensory nerves in the tragus. This form of tAN is intended to correct nervous system imbalances.

The device is the transcutaneous autonomic neuromodulation (tAN) device for auricular vagal stimulation by Afferent Medical Solutions and the study is funded by National Institute for Health and Care Research located at Barts Health and (as of this last recruitment) sucessfully fully powered 😎
