The IL-18 armored CAR-T data from Carl June's group at ASH this year is remarkable (ash.confex.com/ash/2022/webpr…). 100% ORR so far, 7/8 patients had relapsed on a prior CAR-T product. IL-18 baby!!!

New Nature paper provides evidence that science has become less innovative since the 1950s. The authors suggest reversing the trend by: 1. reading widely, 2. focusing less on quantity of papers, & more on research quality, 3. taking year-long sabbaticals. nature.com/articles/s4158…

Between Keystone and joint scientific retreat, we had a fun time to visit Jufen and Taroka in Taiwan for more scientific and career discussion. It is also great to have our lab friend Helen Carrasco Hope and alumni, Jhan-Jie, join us🫶
