Dec 9, 2024: Due to ice and snow expected this afternoon transportation is cancelled in all weather zones except North Hastings. Schools will remain open however any students driven to school by parents/guardians will need to be picked up at the end of the day. 1/2

Stepping out or my comfort zone and supporting a dance group at the school this year. Today they performed during the Christmas Concert. So proud of the crew! Can’t wait to see them shine as part of Celebration of Dance in the spring. St. Martha Kingston ALCDSB

Today the grade 8’s stumbled upon my bin of locks. Some have never tried to open a combination lock & soon discovered it’s not as easy as it seems & it will take some practice. Lots of laughs as we learned some patience & perseverance. St. Martha Kingston ALCDSB

Shhh! This week was a secret staff spirit week. Each day staff were challenged to follow a theme for the day and wow did they accept the challenges. By the end of the week the students were excited to see what else we had in store. This just might be a new tradition.

First ever Candy Cane Olympics today. Four events, some way harder than others (who knew stacking marshmallows with candy canes would be so hard). The winning team to be revealed tomorrow - their prize an advantage in tomorrow’s Unfair Game. St. Martha Kingston ALCDSB

Today was no “Ordinary Day” at school- it was Celebration of Dance recording day. Thanks to these great students who stepped up and represented our school so well. Can not wait to see the finished video. ALCDSB
